Common Posture Mistakes We Make

Have you considered your bad posture responsible for back pain? When it comes to your whole-body discomfort, posture can be the reason for it. Correcting your posture will help you avoid back pain, neck pain, and other regular health problems. Those who sit for long hours experience pain in their body always. We are trying to make you aware of your bad posture and talk about the solutions. Concentrate more on ergonomics, and using a sit-stand desk can solve your problems a lot.

Common posture mistakes:

Forget to move:

Our body needs movement. But, we tend to remain in a single position for a long time. Move and stretch yourself every 30 minutes. Change your posture all day to keep you active.  If you are at an office, stand up and move in your break time. Use the farthest restroom to walk and relax your muscles.

Raising and bending your shoulders:

Hunching your shoulders is very common when you are at your desk. It is a bad posture, and it puts a strain on your spinal cord. It also reduces lung capacity. The longer you maintain it, the poorer your posture will be. Correct your sitting posture. Sit straight, stretching your spine as high as possible.

Staring downward for too long:

Your head is heavy, and tilting them forward puts pressure on your neck and upper back muscles. It does not help you distribute the weight evenly. You can raise your computer screen at your eye level to avoid looking downward when working.

Don’t sit too far forward or too far backward:

You generally find comfort in your work. Though these bending positions offer you short-term comfort, they are harmful to your health in the long run. Don’t stretch too far backward or forward from your chair. Slightly reclined 100-110 degree angle for your sitting position reduces strain from your lower back.

Using a wrong keyboard size:

We are working on computers, but we don’t know which keyboard is perfect for us. It causes bad sitting posture also. The right size of a keyboard will allow you to rest your forearms on the surface of your desk. Your elbow should hang straight at your side. People with a broader shoulder width and a wider chest can use a bigger keyboard in front of them.
